The Balboa Yacht Club will be hosting our "Day at Oaklawn Racetrack" on Friday April 11, 2024. The track opens at 11:00 AM. This is a wonderful day, if you haven't been to the Jockey Club now is your chance. 

The cost is $75 per person. This includes admission to the track, admission to the Jockey Club, program and Buffet Lunch. Alcoholic beverages are at your own cost. Members and Guest are welcome at this event. Individual entry to the Jockey Club is now $50 per person so this is a wonderful group package.

You must register and pay, in advance of this event.

Dress for the Jockey Club: 

Men

Collared shirts and a jacket or suits. No shorts or denim.

Women

Pantsuits, dresses, slacks, no shorts or denim.

You are invited to attend an informational meeting on Saturday April 12, 2025, from 2-4 PM. The meeting will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church,199 Barcelona Rd, Hot Springs Village.

We will provide information regarding the draw down of Balboa Lake starting in 2025. The information will include the anticipated start dates and the details of the dredging.

In addition, we will have several vendors attending that can answer your questions and discuss with you any concerns. You will also be able to get on their schedules before they are filled. 

We will also have POA Lakes personnel in attendance, as well as Steve FitzGerald, Chairman of the Lakes Committee, who will be our facilitator.

We are asking that you register to attend this meeting as it will be limited to the first 100 registrants.

If you are unable to attend, we will be providing membership with a summary of the highlights of the meeting and a list of the vendors by email.
